Baseball Game Preview: Agape Christian Knights vs. Hardin County Cougars

The Agape Christian Knights will face off against the Hardin County Cougars at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.

On Thursday, Agape Christian made easy work of Meridian and carried off a 13-3 win. The victory continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Bobcats: they've now won six in a row.

Meanwhile, Hardin County entered their tilt with Crab Orchard on Wednesday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They blew past the Trojans 9-2. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by seven runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Nate Massie, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Gibbons, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Agape Christian's win was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-6. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.9 runs over those games. As for Hardin County, their win bumped their record up to 9-5-1.
