Baseball Recap: Columbia Takes a Loss

Columbia fell victim to Mid-Carolina and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 7-0 to the Rebels, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The defeat continues a trend for the Capitals in their meetings with the Rebels: they've now lost five in a row.

Columbia's loss dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Mid-Carolina, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-9-1.

Coming up, Columbia will take on Chester at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cyclones will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last. As for Mid-Carolina, they have already played their next game, a 7-6 defeat against River Bluff on the 18th.
