Basketball Recap: El Cajon Valley Takes a Loss

El Cajon Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 53-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Granite Hills Eagles. If the Braves were looking for revenge after losing 69-51 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

It was another big night for Lathan Fry, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 24 boards for Granite Hills. Fry is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last 25 games he's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Andre Dankha, who posted 11 points and six steals.

El Cajon Valley's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Granite Hills, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-10.

El Cajon Valley has already played their next game (against Grossmont), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Granite Hills wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 66-61 win against Valhalla on the 24th.
