Basketball Recap: River View Comes Up Short

After flying high against Mingo Central last Saturday, River View came back down to earth. The Raiders took a hard 59-42 fall against the Wyoming East Warriors on Friday. The Raiders have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

When it comes to explaining why River View lost, don't look at Chasity Kennedy. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double with 31 points and 16 boards. Kennedy's big performance that evening made it 17 games in a row in which she has scored at least 20 points. Another player making a difference was Lilly Perkins, who posted six points and three steals.

River View's loss dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Wyoming East, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.

As of now, neither River View nor Wyoming East have any future games scheduled.
