            Softball Preview: Harding Skippers vs. St. John Fighting Herald        
        
		
        
        
            The Harding Skippers are taking a road trip to  face off against the St. John Fighting Herald  at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Harding is looking for their season's first  victory.
Harding lost  17-1 to Chalker on Monday.
 Harding saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Beyla Sadler, who  went 2-for-3 with one  RBI.
Meanwhile, the third road  contest was the charm for St. John, as they earned their first away  win of the season. They came out on top against Grand Valley by a score of  5-2  on Wednesday.
 Isabelle Holler made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out ten batters over  seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off   four  hits. Those  hits were  her first of the season. She was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-2. That's the most  hits  she has posted since back in April of 2024.
 In other batting news,  Nadia Lagoa was  excellent,  scoring a  run while going 1-for-2. That  run was  her first of the season.  Caitlyn Carney was another key player,  scoring two  runs while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances.
 St. John's victory  ended  a  six-game drought on the road  dating back to last season and  puts them at 2-3. As for Harding, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.
