On the hitting side, Kamryn Leckrone made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Paige Wernle, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

Waterloo's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-2. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Highland, their loss dropped their record down to 4-14.

Waterloo beat Highland 8-3 in their previous meeting back in April. The rematch might be a little tougher for Waterloo since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
