Football Recap: Union Spartans vs. South Columbus Stallions
Union was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the South Columbus Stallions at home and fell 70-6. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Spartans of the 61-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2023.
James Cobb threw for 44 yards on two of eight attempts.
John Malahias was his top target, picking up 34 receiving yards.
Union's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for South Columbus, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.
Union will head out to square off against Spring Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for South Columbus, they will square off against East Bladen at 7:30 a.m. on Friday.
