The Otsego Knights will head out on the road to take on the Wauseon Indians at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wauseon took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Otsego, who comes in off a win.
Otsego took care of business in their home opener on Monday (and then some). They put the hurt on Norwalk with a sharp 8-2 win.
Bodde Simon was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. Simon was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Cohen Feehan, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Devin Silva, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile, Wauseon had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. Their rough 8-0 loss to Zane Trace on Saturday might stick with them for a while.
Otsego beat Wauseon 11-7 in their previous matchup back in April of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Otsego since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
