Recap: Auburn Adventist Falcons vs. Rainier Christian Mustangs
The Auburn Adventist Falcons posted their biggest victory yet this season on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 75-31 victory over Rainier Christian on the road. Given Auburn Adventist's advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 153rd, while Rainier Christian is ranked 375th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Auburn Adventist got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jake Hoffman out in front who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hoffman has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kai Brooks, who scored 17 points.
The victory makes it two in a row for Auburn Adventist and bumps their season record up to 8-1. As for Rainier Christian, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
Auburn Adventist will head out on the road to square off against Cascade Christian at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday. Cascade Christian is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Rainier Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Sound Christian at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th.
