Volleyball Game Preview: Arizona College Prep Knights vs. Mountain Pointe Pride

The Arizona College Prep Knights will head out to take on the Mountain Pointe Pride at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Arizona College Prep is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Arizona's top teams: Campo Verde, who was ranked 11th at the time (Arizona College Prep was ranked 13th). The Knights lost 3-0 to the Coyotes on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Knights have suffered since March 6th.

The 3-0 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-22, 28-26.

Meanwhile, Mountain Pointe came up short against Campo Verde on Monday, falling 3-0. The Pride have struggled against the Coyotes recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Arizona College Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Mountain Pointe, their loss dropped their record down to 2-10.

Arizona College Prep was able to grind out a solid victory over Mountain Pointe in their previous matchup back in April of 2023, winning 2-0. Do the Knights have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Pride turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
