Shaleigh Hirtzel of Seminole has eyes on continuing career in college.

Shaleigh Hirtzel was born without the lower part of her right arm but hasn't let it slow her down on the volleyball court for Seminole (Fla.).

The sophomore junior varsity player told Tampa Bay 28 that she is determined to overcome any obstacles on the court and off.

"I've adapted so much from whenever I was little. Stuff that I used to think was hard and I'd never be able to do, I can do now because I've been determined and figured it out," Hirtzel told the television station.

Hirtzel began playing volleyball in eighth grade and has hopes to continue her career into college.

Most importantly, she wants to use her platform to inspire those with physical disabilities to do great things.

"I want to do volleyball, hopefully in college," Hirtzel said. "I want kids to be able look up to me and be like 'Oh my goodness, she's just like me and she's doing this.' That's a really special thing I want to accomplish."
