Basketball Recap: Holy Family Extends Home Winning Streak to 13

Holy Family won against Peak to Peak two weeks ago with 53 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Holy Family Tigers were the clear victor by a 53-27 margin over the Pagosa Springs Pirates. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Tigers just coasted through the last quarter.

Holy Family got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Alexcia Oaxaca out in front who posted nine points and six rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Oaxaca a new career-high in assists (four). Gracie Ward was another key player, putting up eight points and five steals.

Holy Family was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pagosa Springs only racked up six assists.

When it comes to explaining why Pagosa Springs lost, don't look at Amber Snarr. Despite the final result, she had seven points.
