Football Recap: Howells-Dodge Piles Up the Points Against Lyons-Decatur Northeast

Howells-Dodge never let their opponents score on Friday. They blew past the Lyons-Decatur Northeast Cougars 62-0. The Jaguars pushed the score to 54-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Cougars had no chance of recovering from.

Howells-Dodge had a senior duo take command as Hunter Luther rushed for 147 yards and two TDs on only 11 carries and Konner Bourek picked up 56 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. Luther is crushing it when it comes to rushing touchdowns: he's punched in at least two every time he's taken the field this season.

Howells-Dodge was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 233 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 169 rushing yards in six consecutive matches dating back to last season.
