Softball Recap: Latin Takes a Loss

If Latin was feeling good fresh off their 24-1 takedown of Willows Academy on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Romans came up short against the Horizon Science Academy McKinley Park Hawks on Friday, falling 16-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-3 back in April.

Latin has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for Horizon Science Academy McKinley Park, their victory bumped their record up to 14-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Latin will take on Francis W. Parker at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Horizon Science Academy McKinley Park, they will venture away from home to face off against Hancock at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
