Basketball Recap: York Cougars vs. A.C. Flora Falcons
York was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 24th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 64-29 loss at the hands of the A.C. Flora Falcons. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 66-22 back in January.

York's loss came despite strong showings from Gracin Carroll and A'Merianna Ingram. Carroll posted nine points and seven steals, while Ingram scored nine points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals. With that strong performance, Carroll is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game.
A.C. Flora found their leader in sophomore Naja Gray, who put up 14 points along with five assists and five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Gray has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Mickens, who had eight points in addition to eight boards and six assists.
York's defeat dropped their record down to 0-15. As for A.C. Flora, their victory bumped their record up to 9-12.
York will head out on the road to square off against South Pointe at 6:00 p.m. on February 4th. South Pointe will roll in looking for their 20th straight win, something York surely won't give up without a fight. As for A.C. Flora, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 57-51 victory against Lancaster on the 31st.
