Baseball Recap: Childress Comes Up Short

Childress was the 6-3 winner over Tulia when they last played one another on March 15th, but their luck changed this time around. The Bobcats came up short against the Hornets on Monday, falling 16-8. The Bobcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Brody Hightower made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Creedan Bell also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Childress' defeat dropped their record down to 9-8-1. As for Tulia, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-5-1.

Looking ahead, Childress will square off against River Road at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Tulia, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-9 loss against Dalhart on the 4th.
