Basketball Recap: Ferndale Takes a Loss

After flying high against Oak Harbor last Wednesday, Ferndale came back down to earth. The Ferndale Golden Eagles were beaten by the Lynden Lions 75-38 on Friday. The Golden Eagles haven't had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.

Ferndale now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Lynden, their win was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ferndale will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Lakewood at 7:15 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for Lynden, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Stanwood at 5:40 p.m. on Saturday. Stanwood will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Lynden surely won't give up without a fight.
