Volleyball Recap: Shawnee Mission South Raiders vs. Shawnee Mission East Lancers
Shawnee Mission South was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell just short of the Shawnee Mission East Lancers by a score of 2-1. The Raiders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lancers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September.
Shawnee Mission South started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-27, 25-15, 25-18.
Shawnee Mission East found their leader in underclassman Jessie Hill, who had 13 digs.
Shawnee Mission South now has a losing record at 14-15. As for Shawnee Mission East, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-23 record this season.
