On Friday, Cheverus' offense rose to the challenge against a Massabesic defense that boasted an average of only 19.25 points allowed. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Massabesic, sneaking past 36-34. Having pegged this as anyone's game, the MaxPreps rankings were right on the nose.

The win got the Stags back to even at 5-5. Massabesic's defeat pushes them down to 6-3.

Cheverus will square off against Kennebunk next week. Kennebunk also lit up the scoreboard in their last game, so this could be a high-scoring game. As for the Mustangs, they do not have any more games currently scheduled.
