Baseball Game Preview: Coon Rapids Cardinals vs. Champlin Park Rebels

Coon Rapids is 0-7 against Champlin Park since April of 2015 but things could change on Thursday. The Cardinals will head out to take on the Rebels at 7:00 p.m.

Coon Rapids fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Washburn on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Millers by a score of 3-2. The loss leaves the Cardinals still looking for their first win of the season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Champlin Park). They put the hurt on Park Center/Columbia Heights/Maranatha with a sharp 9-2 win on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Rebels in their matchups with the Pirates: they've now won three in a row.

Coon Rapids' defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Champlin Park, their win bumped their record up to 7-3.
