Basketball Recap: Logan Gale's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Neshaminy over Bensalem

Neshaminy lost against Bensalem back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Neshaminy Skins fell 53-45 to the Bensalem Fighting Owls. The Skins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Neshaminy lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Logan Gale, who went 8-for-19 en route to 26 points. He is becoming a predictor of Neshaminy's success: when he posts at least 20 points the team is 4-2 (and 7-12 when he doesn't). Max Currie was another key player, putting up six points and 15 boards.

Amir Drummond was his usual excellent self, shooting 48% from the field to rack up 29 points along with seven rebounds and three steals for Bensalem. Drummond continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Aidan Mayfield, who posted eight points.

Neshaminy's defeat dropped their record down to 11-14. As for Bensalem, their win bumped their record up to 16-10.

Neshaminy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bensalem, they have already played their next contest, a 67-65 loss against Phoenixville on the 25th.
