Baseball Recap: Heide Trask Triumphs

Heide Trask and Pender pushed the score to 19-9 the last time they played Pender, but on Tuesday defenses reigned supreme. The Titans skirted past the Patriots 2-1. The win continues a trend for the Titans in their matchups with the Patriots: they've now won nine in a row.

Tanner Sparkman tossed a big game, striking out nine batters over 8.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

At the plate, Heide Trask saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Namon Holly, who went 1-for-4 with one double. That double was Holly's first of the season.

Heide Trask's victory bumped their record up to 5-16. As for Pender, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-14.

Heide Trask will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Patriots: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
