Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Northland Christian). They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Rosehill Christian Eagles on Tuesday. The Cougars not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 27, 2024.

JT Turner was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 13 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Northland Christian is 2-1 when Turner allows one or fewer earned runs, but 1-6-1 otherwise. Turner was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in May of 2024.

In other batting news, Sam Stevenson was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in hits (two). Cy Taylor was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

Northland Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .568. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rosehill Christian only posted an OBP of .318.

Northland Christian's win bumped their record up to 3-7-1. As for Rosehill Christian, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8-1.

Coming up, Northland Christian will head out on the road to challenge Tomball Kings at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Homeschool will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight. Rosehill Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
