Baseball Game Preview: Aransas Pass Panthers vs. Taft Greyhounds

Aransas Pass is 1-9 against Taft since March of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Panthers will be playing at home against the Greyhounds at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Thursday, Aransas Pass didn't have quite enough to beat West Oso and fell 2-1.

Aransas Pass saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jerry Longoria, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Meanwhile, Taft fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Santa Gertrudis Academy back in March but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Lions by a score of 12-11. The Greyhounds have struggled against the Lions recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Aransas Pass' loss dropped their record down to 7-16. As for Taft, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.
