Baseball Recap: Walden Grove Takes a Loss

Walden Grove managed to slip by Sunnyside the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Red Wolves lost 13-3 to the Blue Devils on Thursday. The Red Wolves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Blue Devils apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2022.

Walden Grove saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Vaughn Sexton, who went 3-for-4 with one RBI.

Walden Grove's loss dropped their record down to 12-11. As for Sunnyside, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 17-8.

Coming up, Walden Grove will challenge Tucson High Magnet School at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Sunnyside, they will take on Vista Grande at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
