Concord Academy strolled into their game on Saturday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They took down the Providence Day Chargers 74-59. This was payback for the Eagles, who suffered a 61-58 loss the last time these two teams met.
Concord Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Cruz Miller out in front who shot 54% from the field en route to 22 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. Miller continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Lincoln Raper was another key player, going 6-for-11 to rack up 16 points and eight boards.
Concord Academy's record now sits at 7-0. As for Providence Day, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.
Concord Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 92-48 victory against Calvary Day School on the 24th. As for Providence Day, they will challenge Wilson at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
