Congratulations to this week's top players! We're covering the best performances in games played  on  Thursday and Friday (using all statistics entered as of the time of writing). Enjoy!
Felix Matos Has Career-Day  on Friday
 Starting off the list is Phillipsburg's  Felix Matos, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. On Friday  Matos made three total tackles, good enough to  also set a new career-high in  rushing yards in the process. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 92 yards.
 Phillipsburg's win was  their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 6-1. Matos and Phillipsburg will take on Union at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.

Jackson Jankowicz Delivers Best  Effort of Season
  Jackson Jankowicz produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Hillsborough to the win  on Thursday. Jankowicz rushed for 169 yards and three touchdowns, and also picked up 59 receiving yards and a touchdown. The  performance  marked the most  rushing yards  he has had since back in October of 2023. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 52 yards.
 Bridgewater-Raritan's probably not too fond of  Jankowicz given he always seems to get the better of them. When  Jankowicz last faced the Panthers  back in September of 2023, he rushed for 160 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.0 yards per carry.

Genovese Posts Huge Game in  49-14  Victory
 The second Phillipsburg player making an appearance here is  Jett Genovese, and for good reason. He rushed for 83 yards on only six carries, and also threw for 111 yards  while completing 75% of his passes. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 77 yards.
 On the year,  Genovese  has thrown 8 touchdowns while averaging 133.5 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year,  he was only averaging 24.5  rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 54.17  rushing yards.

Xander Borowski Makes It Two for Hillsborough
 The second Hillsborough player making an appearance here is  Xander Borowski, and for good reason. He picked up  two  sacks and made six total tackles. He is  on a roll when it comes to  total tackles, as he's  now  made six or more in the last four games he's  played.
 This year,  Borowski  has averaged 6.9 total tackles per game  and for the season has 6 sacks. He's  made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year,  he had three  sacks.

 Another Phillipsburg player making an appearance on this list is  Shane Moore. He rushed for 58 yards and a touchdown.
 This year,  Moore  has run in  those 1 touchdown while averaging 18 rushing yards per game.
