Volleyball Recap: Bishop Moore Comes Up Short

Bishop Moore lost against Oviedo back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Hornets fell 3-1 to the Lions. The Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-10, 20-25, 25-17.

Kaylee Winkler paced Bishop Moore's offense, picking up 12 kills. Winkler got some help from Camila Valenzuela and her 15 assists. Winkler was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Bishop Moore's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Oviedo, their victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-3.

Looking ahead, Bishop Moore will host Spruce Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Oviedo, they will head out to square off against Lake Highland Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
