Softball Game Preview: Jordan Falcons vs. Leesville Road Pride

The Jordan Falcons will face off against the Leesville Road Pride at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Jordan will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

On Friday, Jordan had just enough and edged out Green Level 11-9. That's two games straight that the Falcons have won by exactly two runs.

Sidney Sharp was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in RBI. Another player making a difference was Sydney Cornwell, who went 1-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Leesville Road came up short against Heritage on Friday, falling 14-6. The Pride have struggled against the Huskies recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meetings.

Leesville Road saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maddie Kelbaugh, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

Jordan's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.7 runs over those games. As for Leesville Road, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Leesville Road's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Jordan hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .342.
