Basketball Recap: MonDak [Westby/Grenora] Comes Up Short

MonDak [Westby/Grenora] lost against Plentywood back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The MonDak [Westby/Grenora] Mon-Dak Thunder were outmatched by the Plentywood Wildcats and fell 67-20. The match marked the Mon-Dak Thunder's lowest-scoring game so far this season.

This is the second loss in a row for MonDak [Westby/Grenora] and nudges their season record down to 3-11. As for Plentywood, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. MonDak [Westby/Grenora] will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Culbertson at 5:30 p.m. on February 22nd. As for Plentywood, they will head out on the road to face off against Savage on February 14th. Plentywood knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine contests -- so hopefully Savage likes a good challenge.
