Basketball Recap: North Garland Takes a Loss

If North Garland was feeling good fresh off their 71-50 takedown of Garland last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The North Garland Raiders took a 68-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wylie Pirates on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 700th, while the Pirates are ranked 119th).

North Garland has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season. As for Wylie, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-9.

North Garland will challenge Lakeview Centennial at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Wylie, they will host Sachse at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Sachse's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three games.
