Basketball Recap: Sebeka Takes a Loss

Sebeka lost against Underwood back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Sebeka Trojans were beaten by the Underwood Rockets 72-37. The match marked the Trojans' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Despite the loss, Sebeka saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Caleb Smith posted five points and four steals. Those four steals set a new season-high mark for Smith.

Sebeka has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season. As for Underwood, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season.

Sebeka will head out to square off against New York Mills at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Underwood has already played their next match (against Ashby), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
