Baseball Recap: Mead Takes a Loss

After soaring to 13 runs the game before, Mead was a bit more limited in their matchup on Tuesday. They took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Longmont Trojans. If the Mavericks were looking for revenge after losing 12-2 to the Trojans when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Mead saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryan St Aubin, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. St Aubin also hit a double, marking his first of the season.

Mead has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-4 record this season. As for Longmont, their record is now 8-5.

Coming up, Mead will welcome Silver Creek at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Mavericks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Raptors have averaged an impressive 8.5 runs per game this season. As for Longmont, they will challenge Horizon at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
