After having lost a blowout in their previous game against El Camino Real, Cleveland was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Birmingham Patriots as Cleveland made off with a 3-0 victory. The contest marked the Cavaliers' most dominant win of the season.

Cleveland never let Birmingham on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-19, 25-20.

With the victory, Cleveland broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-10. As for Birmingham, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Cleveland and Birmingham could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. Cleveland will face off against Chatsworth at 3:30 p.m. on Monday down 518 places (571 vs. 53). Meanwhile, Birmingham (ranked 792nd) will meet Granada Hills Charter (ranked 259th) at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
