Softball Game Preview: Paramus Spartans vs. Pequannock Golden Panthers

The Paramus Spartans will face off against the Pequannock Golden Panthers at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Paramus is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.

On Wednesday, Paramus was able to grind out a solid win over Mahwah, taking the game 7-2.

Meanwhile, while Pequannock put up some runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for West Essex. The Golden Panthers came out on top against the Knights by a score of 3-0. While the Golden Panthers didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Pequannock is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for Paramus, their win bumped their record up to 8-9.
