Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Powhatan). They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat the Richmond City School of the Arts Bulldogs 83-22. Given the Indians' advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 153rd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 364th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Powhatan's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-6. As for Richmond City School of the Arts, they are on a 31-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.
