Football Game Preview: Fairport Red Raiders vs. McQuaid Jesuit Knights

The Fairport Red Raiders will face off against the McQuaid Jesuit Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Fairport is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

Fairport is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Penfield on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Red Raiders took a blow against the Patriots, falling 35-7. The Red Raiders were already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask McQuaid Jesuit). They came out on top against Pittsford by a score of 21-13 on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won six in a row.

Fairport now has a losing record of 3-4. As for McQuaid Jesuit, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-6.

Fairport beat McQuaid Jesuit 31-21 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Will the Red Raiders repeat their success, or do the Knights have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
