Swampscott and Beverly are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2016, but likely not for long. The Big Blue will head out to challenge the Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Swampscott's offense. They came up short against Gloucester on Wednesday, falling 7-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Big Blue in their meetings with the Fishermen: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, Beverly didn't have quite enough to beat Marblehead on Wednesday and fell 8-6.

Swampscott's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Beverly, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Swampscott was able to grind out a solid win over Beverly in their previous meeting back in April of 2025, winning 9-6. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Big Blue since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
