Volleyball Recap: Shadow Ridge Falls Short Against Ranked Arbor View

Shadow Ridge faced Arbor View in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Mustangs fell 3-1 to the Aggies. The Mustangs have struggled against the Aggies recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Shadow Ridge started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 13-25, 25-17, 25-17, 25-18.

Kimber Morrow paced Shadow Ridge's offense, picking up six kills. Morrow got some help from Lea Scott and her 11 assists. Camden Finlinson controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Shadow Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 20-15. As for Arbor View, the win (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 27-6.

Looking ahead, after both having extra time off, Shadow Ridge and Palo Verde will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Arbor View, they will host Durango at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
