Baseball Recap: Glasgow Comes Up Short

Glasgow was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Taylor County Cardinals. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Scotties of the 10-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2023.

Glasgow saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hudson Gumm, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.

Glasgow's loss dropped their record down to 0-5-1. As for Taylor County, the win keeps they at an undefeated 4-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Glasgow will host Metcalfe County at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Taylor County, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Taylor County Cardinals duke it out with Bardstown Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Bardstown has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.25 runs per game on average), something Taylor County will no doubt try to take advantage of.
