Football Game Preview: Little Elm Lobos vs. Guyer Wildcats + How To Watch

Little Elm is 0-5 against Guyer since November of 2020 but things could change on Friday. The Lobos will be playing at home against the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. Little Elm has given up an average of 35.6 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Little Elm is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Hebron on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Lobos were beaten by the Hawks 40-13. The Lobos were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-0.

Meanwhile, Guyer came tearing into Thursday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 28 points), and they left with even more momentum. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Marauders 52-21. The Wildcats' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Little Elm better keep an eye on Kaedyn Cobbs. He was instrumental in Guyer's win, rushing for 238 yards and three TDs while picking up 9.9 yards per carry. They are undefeated when Cobbs posts two or more rushing touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise.

Guyer was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 357 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in November of 2024.

One reason for the win was Guyer's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for 4.5 sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece ( Khyren Haywood also recorded half a sack). Guyer received some extra help from Caleb Fowler, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

Little Elm's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Guyer, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2.

Little Elm was dealt a bruising 49-21 defeat at the hands of Guyer in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Lobos, Sterling Schneider (who rushed for 101 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
