Basketball Recap: Clayton Drops Highest Score of Season Against Dora

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Clayton). Everything went their way against the Dora Coyotes on Saturday as they made off with a 64-40 victory. With the Yellowjackets ahead 35-15 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Dora's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rylan Harris, who posted 12 points. Another player making a difference was Jayvyn Buckley, who earned 11 points.

The win got Clayton back to even at 3-3. As for Dora, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-2.

Coming up, Clayton will square off against Des Moines at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Dora, they will venture away from home to face off against Clovis Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
