Mount St. Mary strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They breezed past the Chisholm Longhorns to the tune of 62-14. This was payback for the Rockets, who suffered a 52-7 loss the last time these two teams met.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mount St. Mary to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jake Allison, who rushed for eight yards and four touchdowns, and also picked up 69 receiving yards. Roman Manella was another key signal caller, throwing for 244 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 75% of his passes.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Mount St. Mary was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 202 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Another reason for the win was Mount St. Mary's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Donald Sanders, Jackson Braun, and Zechariah Robinson, who each picked up one sack apiece. Mount St. Mary got some further help from Sanders: he picked up a sack and made eight total tackles.

Mount St. Mary's record is now 5-0. As for Chisholm, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
