After flying high against Turner last Tuesday, West came back down to earth. The West Chargers took a 52-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Basehor-Linwood Bobcats on Wednesday. The Chargers haven't had much luck with the Bobcats recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Several Chargers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Imani McGlory, who posted 19 points and six rebounds. That was a full 46.3% of West's points, marking the third time in a row McGlory has had more than a third of the team's points. Sydney VanDyke was another key player, putting up six points and ten boards.

Even though they lost, West smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 16 consecutive games.

West's defeat dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Basehor-Linwood, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-11.

Looking ahead, West will square off against Lansing at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. West is facing Lansing at the right time seeing as Lansing is stuck on a five-game losing streak. Basehor-Linwood does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
