Football Recap: Colorado Springs Christian Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Colorado Springs Christian played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 41-14 loss at the hands of the Limon Badgers. The defeat continues a trend for the Lions in their meetings with the Badgers: they've now lost five in a row.

Although Colorado Springs Christian took the loss, they still got scores from Silas Lambert and Jonathan Singh.

Most of the squad's points came courtesy of special teams, who contributed eight in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Singh, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Limon's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Camdyn Tacha led the charge by rushing for 113 yards and one TD on only eight carries. Those 113 rushing yards gave Tacha a new career-high. Another rusher making a difference was Jacob Jaklich, who rushed for 76 yards and one score.

Colorado Springs Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Colorado Springs Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Woodland Park at 7:00 p.m. on the 12th. As for Limon, they are headed away from home for the first time to challenge Flatirons Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
