Soccer Recap: Eastern Randolph Comes Up Short

Eastern Randolph came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Trinity Bulldogs, falling 7-0. Having soared to a lofty five goals in the game before, Eastern Randolph's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Eastern Randolph has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-7-2 record this season. As for Trinity, they now have a winning record of 6-5-1.

Eastern Randolph and Trinity could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings. The Wildcats will square off against Providence Grove at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (412 vs. 136). Meanwhile, Trinity (ranked 200th) will meet West Davidson (ranked 50th) at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
