Softball Recap: Schurz Comes Up Short

Schurz was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 16-2 to the Orr Spartans. The matchup marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Schurz saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hailey Wiley, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double and one RBI. That double marked the first that Wiley has hit this season.

Schurz's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Orr, they pushed their record up to 7-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Schurz will take on rival Phoenix Military at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Orr is set to challenge their familiar foe Intrinsic at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
