Soccer Game Preview: O'Connor vs. San Clemente

The O'Connor Eagles will be taking part in a tournament against the San Clemente Tritons at 10:50 p.m. on Monday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

O'Connor is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Arizona's top teams: Brophy College Prep, who was ranked first at the time (O'Connor was ranked second). The Eagles took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Broncos on Friday. The defeat continues a trend for O'Connor in their meetings with Brophy College Prep: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, San Clemente's game two weeks ago was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of Del Norte by a score of 2-1.

San Clemente's goal came courtesy of Talon Sarasota, which was the first he's scored this season.

San Clemente now has a losing record of 1-2-1. As for O'Connor, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 9-1.
