Recap: Richland Royals vs. Denton Broncos
The Richland Royals can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They came out on top against Denton by a score of 41-33. This was payback for Richland, who suffered a 38-31 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Richland's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Luna Palacios garza, who scored 14 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Palacios garza has scored all season. Katie Laufer was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Richland's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-17. As for Denton, they bumped their record down to 10-15 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.
Richland will challenge Argyle at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Argyle is coming into the contest hot, having won their last six games. As for Denton, they will be playing at home against Colleyville Heritage at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Colleyville Heritage presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Denton in Texas (Colleyville Heritage is ranked 129th, while Denton is ranked 711th).
