Basketball Game Preview: Metro-East Lutheran Knights vs. Waterloo Bulldogs

The Metro-East Lutheran Knights will be taking part in a tournament against the Waterloo Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Metro-East Lutheran is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.4 points per game this season.

Last Saturday, Metro-East Lutheran lost to MICDS on the road by a 60-43 margin.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Thijson Heard, who posted 15 points. His afternoon made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Brady Bishop was another key player, going 5 of 7 en route to 11 points.

Meanwhile, Waterloo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 42-35 to Triad.

Waterloo's loss dropped their record down to 14-5. As for Metro-East Lutheran, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-6.
